You can be a nICA coach!

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A MOUNTAIN BIKER

WE HAVE A SPOT FOR EVERYONE!

Coach-1

Coaching a team can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. The league will provide all the training that you’ll need to jump right in and start coaching a team. There are training seminars held throughout the year, online webinars and annual retreats that will give you all the information and training necessary. You don’t need to be a great rider. No prior coaching experience necessary. NICA and the League will provide the training and guidance you’ll need.

stories from NICA

what was the most exciting thing about this last season?

Jacob

HHA Student Athlete

I loved being able to ride and race with riders who constantly inspire me to improve on and off the bike.

Terry

NICA Coach

It was coming off the trail to see one of our older riders mentoring a new rider after having a mechanical on trail. Instead of just leaving practice he came alongside the younger athlete and helped him learn to cross a small ditch and climb a hill. It's proof positive of the inner working of character built into the NICA program!

Kevin

NICA Parent & Coach

Arkansas NICA has allowed me to watch my child grow with confidence in himself and what he can accomplish, then having that transfer to all other aspects of his life.

A Fun And Safe Mountain Biking Program

The Arkansas Interscholastic Cycling League was organized in 2015 to provide a fun, safe, and high-quality Hot Springs Arkansas Mountain Biking for students in grades 6 to 12. With the cooperation of our partners and our sponsors, we are able to provide a competitive mountain bike racing experience. Regardless of ability level, the Arkansas League is committed to providing a positive experience for all student-athletes in accordance with Five Core Principles: Inclusive, Equal, Strong Body, Strong Mind, and Strong Character. In turn, Arkansas’s goal is to create life-long cyclists who are conscientious, responsible, and empowered.

Arkansas Interscholastic Cycling

Hot Springs is home to a versatile trail system with offerings for riders of all ages and skill levels. Take a quick one-mile scenic loop or push yourself on one of our beginner-to-intermediate trails. For hardcore riders, Hot Springs has three IMBA Epic Rides, ranging from the heart-pumping 33-mile Womble Trail to the grueling 108-mile Ouachita National Recreational Trail.
