Want more confidence on your bike when you’re out on awesome Arkansas Singletrack? Do you want to ride safer, faster, and more efficiently than you do now? The Arkansas League will be offering beginner and advanced-level clinics in March in Bentonville.
The Arkansas League is offering three clinics on March 11 and 12!
March 11 – Beginner Mountain Bike Skills Clinic
8 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm, $30
Location: Slaughter Pen
This clinic will cover the basic skills necessary to be able to navigate the single–track trails in Northwest Arkansas. It is open to NICA student-athletes, their parents, and community members wanting to establish a solid foundation of skills. There will be two sessions covering the same material – 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm.

March 12 – Advanced Racing Skills for the NICA Student-Athlete
9 am to 4 pm, $125
Location: Slaughter Pen and more
This personalized clinic will cover advanced mountain bike racing skills for NICA student-athletes. The morning will be skills-focused sessions, and the afternoon will be a ride focused on building and refining the skills. Racing experience is required for this clinic, and riders can expect a strenuous day. Lunch is included.

Ben Tufford of Cognition Coaching is facilitating these clinic. His Bio:
After many years of racing road, cyclocross, and mountain bikes, Ben Tufford turned his attention to helping others by forming Cognition Coaching in 2010. Locally know as the coach that does house calls, he supports clients throughout the New Jersey area. Showing them new routes, parks, or race courses. Then, providing extensive race day support on their most important days.
Ben became an IMBA Level 3 Certified Instructor in 2013. Currently, he is contracted by IMBA to teach the courses throughout the country. Cognition Coaching has expanded to 4 IMBA certified instructors. Providing extensive skills clinic to riders of all age and ability levels.
Turning his attention to the NICA leagues, he was invited to instruct Coach Supporters at the NICA National Summit in Eagle, CO. He is on the New Jersey league’s core team staff as a Coach Supporter. He also is the Head Coach of the Princeton Area Composite Team of middle school and high school student athletes. Ben has his finger on the pulse of NICA at all levels.
