2018 Leader’s Summit

Overview: The Arkansas Leaders’ Summit provides the opportunity to learn about the Arkansas League structure and processes, how to start a mountain bike team and run student mountain biking practices, how to work with their schools, issues related to liability, and the unique intricacies of working with high school and middle school cyclists. The primary goal for the Leaders’ Summit is to teach and license adults as competent NICA coaches. The summit is an ideal opportunity for coaches and team organizers to share thoughts and opinions; it is the perfect environment to get charged up for the coming season!

We suggest completing the NICA required concussion training and NICA Risk Management 101 video and test (and take a picture of your test screen) before you arrive at Leader’s Summit. www.nationalmtb.org/coaches- license-program.
What’s Included? Summit includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday, breakfast and lunch Sunday, overnight stays Friday and Saturday nights, all the skills and classroom training, the NICA skills booklet, and an opportunity to meet and ride with great individuals who are all interested in working with students. Bring your bike, helmet and riding gear.
